Paul Stevens, Chartered FCSI - Branch Principal

Paul began working in the private client industry at Grieveson Grant stockbrokers, and then joined Kleinwort Benson Private Bank where he was Co-Head of Collective Investments. Paul founded 1st Port in 2004 and his expertise includes managing private client portfolios, including trusts and charities, as well as portfolios for corporations.

Paul knows the investment funds market extremely well, having established the analytical and evaluation process for such investments at Kleinwort Benson. Paul started his career in financial services in 1985 and is a Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment (CISI). He is a founder member of the Guild of Investment Managers.

Melissa Longley, Chartered FCSI Investment Manager

Melissa has worked successfully in portfolio management since 1985. Prior to joining 1st Port in 2012, Melissa was a Director and Head of Advisory Fund Management at Kleinwort Benson Private Bank, where she was also a senior member of the monthly investment policy committee. Melissa’s career includes a decade with Lehman Brothers, and she has extensive experience of assisting UK and international investors, particularly individuals and family accounts.

Melissa’s areas of expertise include US, UK and European equity markets, collectives including Exchange Traded Funds (ETF), and fixed income markets. Melissa is also a Chartered Fellow of the CISI and a founder member of the Guild of Investment Managers. In July 2022 Melissa became Master of the Guild – a one year term of office.
